Questo golfino topdown si chiama “Crawling Pullover” perchè l’ho pensato per un bambino gattonante. Infatti l’ho fatto per il mio Dante, che va veloce come una saetta!

I made this pullover especially for my little boy Dante, that is a fast crawling baby!

Trovo che una delle cose più pericolose per un bambiuno che gattona non siano tanto gli spigoli, o gli scalini, quanto una manica troppo lunga che, finendo sotto il polso, fa cadere il bimbo di faccia. Per questo ho lavorato questo golfino con le maniche leggermente più corte rispetto ad un modello normale ed in più con il corpo leggeremente più lungo. Ho notato che al mio piccino, gattonando e muovendo le braccia, tutti i maglioncini  si arrotolano sulla schiena, lasciando libere le lombari, esposte così a prendere un bel colpo di freddo.

One of the most dangerous things for a crawling baby, in my opinion, is not arch stones or stairs, but a too long sleeve, that finishing under his hand let him fall on his face. For this reason I designed this pullover with long sleeves, but very precise, not too long. I saw also, looking at my baby crawling, that his pullover where always too short on his back. Because moving the arm the back of the pullover is moving by the way. So I made the body of the pullover a little bit longer. The back of our baby is saved from chill!

A prima vista può sembrare un po’ strano, come modello, ma, credetemi, è perfetto per un bimbo o una bimba gattonante.

La TAGLIA è 9-12 mesi (80cm), per fare una taglia sotto basta utilizzare un ferro di mezzo numero più piccolo e un filato adeguato.

SIZE 9-12 months (80cm), to make a smaller size work with a half size smaller needle and a proper yarn

MATERIALE: 35gr Debbie Bliss Prima, colore verde acido e  80 gr Sirdar Summer Stripes, colore  Savannah 309; Ferri n°4 (diritti, circolari e 5 ferri); 3 bottoni.

What you need: 35gr Debbie Bliss Prima, color light green and 80 gr Sirdar Summer Stirpes, color Svannah 309, Needles 4 mm (knitting needles, circular needles and double pointed needles); 3 buttons

ISTRUZIONI: Avviare con il verde 72 maglie e lavorare 8 ferri a legaccio.  Al 5° ferro fare un asola dopo la seconda maglia (gettata e 2 insieme)

How to make it: Cast on 72 and work g.st. for 8 rows. At the 5° row make a buttonhole (yo-k2tog)

Da questo momento la lavorazione sarà sempre a maglia rasata con il filato Summer Stripers, tranne che per le prima 6 maglie, che saranno sempre in verde acido e a legaccio per altri 26 ferri dal bordo (34° ferro totale) e alle ultime 6 sempre a legaccio. Nella parte verde, oltre all’asola che abbiamo già fatto al 5° ferro, andrà fatta un’asola (gettato e 2 insieme) anche al 17° e 29° ferro.

Since now you will always work st. st. with the Sirdar yarn, except the first 6 st, light green and g. st. for other 26 rows from the border (34 rows tot) and the last 6 st. always g. st. In the green part remember to make buttonholes at the 17 and 29 row.

Suddividere le maglie così: 22 maglie (davanti dx), 1 maglia, 8 maglie (manica), 1 maglia, 24 maglie (dietro), 1 maglia, 8 maglie (manica), 1 maglia, 6 maglie (davanti sx)

Divided the st. like this: 22(front W), 1 stitch, 8 (sleeve), 1 stitch, 24 (back), 1 stitch, 8 (sleeve), 1 stitch, 6 (front L)

Lavorare un aumento ai lati di 1 maglia (lavorando 2 volte la maglia prima e quella dopo) ogni 2 ferri per 14 volte. Attenzione però, dal 5° aumento spostare l’ulitimo degli aumenti subito all’inizio, dopo le 6 maglie di bordo verde.

Work making  1 inc. before and after 1 stitch (work 2 times the same st.) every 2 rows for 14 times. BUT from the 5° inc., moove the last inc. from the end to the front, after the 6th stitch.

In corrispondenza del 14° aumento unire i due bordi a legaccio sovrapponendo quello verde a quell’altro, lavorando una maglia di un bordo, insieme ad una maglia dell’altro, con la tecnica dei 3 ferri, ma senza chiudere le maglie.  Proseguire la lavorazione in tondo sempre  a diritto.

In the 14th inc. row work together the 2 garter stitch borders. With 3 needles, but without psso. Work since now in the round, always knit.

A questo punto lasciare in sospeso le maglie delle maniche, e, per evitare quei buchini nel sottomanica, prendere una maglia sotto l’ultima del davanti e sotto la prima del dietro, come nella foto più una a nuovo in mezzo a queste due. La stessa cosa dall’altra parte.

Now leave the st. of the sleeves holding and continue only with the front and back. As under the sleeves comes always little holes, try to make a new st. like the photo. Oune at the end of the front, one make new and one from the beginning of the back. The same at the other sleeve.

Lavorare una diminuzione ai lati della maglia nuova, in corrispondenza del sottomanica, 2 ferri dopo l’unione del davanti e del dietro e dopo altri 18 ferri. Proseguire per altri 34 ferri e finire con 8 ferri a legaccio in verde, suddividendo 8 diminuzioni (2 maglie insieme) all’interno del primo ferro verde. Chiudere le maglie con l’ago, vedi qui.

Continue to work the front and the back together and make 2 dec. for side, before and after the made new st. after 2 rows, after other 18th rows and continue with no dec. for other 34 rows. Finish with 8 rows g. st. with the light green, making 8 dec. on the first light green row. Blind off with sewing needle. Look here.

Riprendere le maglie delle maniche con i 5 ferri, riprendendo anche la maglia in corrispondenza di quella  montata a nuovo tra davanti e dietro e lavorare subito 2 diminuzioni, ai lati delle tre centrali del sottomanica, e poi ogni 6 ferri per 5 volte, finire con 4 ferri a diritto e 8 ferri a legaccio in verde. Chiudere le maglie con l’ago, vedi qui.

Work the sleeves with double pointed needles, remember to work a st. where you made a new st. between the front and the back. Make 2 dec. before and after the 3 st. under sleeves, after 2 rows and every 6 rows for 5 times. Work 4 rows and than change color and make 8 rows g. st. with the light green. Blind off with sewing needle. Look here.

Cucire i bottoni in corrispondenza delle asole, cucire la propria etichetta e il golfino per bambini gattonanti è pronto!

Sew the 3 buttons, sew your label and the Crawling Pullover is ready
